I am so excited to welcome GIFT to the Greenway Records family and stoked to announce their debut 7” release with Dreamhouse 1 + 2.

GIFT is one of the most exciting new bands in Brooklyn and I am proud to work with them on this 7” and help start their journey. This will be pressed up on Gold Vinyl & 100 special copies hand-poured by myself! I have not hand-poured a 7” in a few years and I’m very excited for this special release. Be sure to catch the band touring the east coast with Frankie and the Witch Fingers later in July.

“Share the present and bolster the light…”

GIFT is a psychedelic rock band from Brooklyn, NY, whose sonic vibrations nod to echo-heavy ‘90s psychedelic icons like Brian Jonestown Massacre and Spiritualized. Formed right before the global pandemic in 2020. The band consists of TJ Freda, Jessica Gurewitz, Kallan Campbell, Justin Hrabvosky, and Cooper Naess.

Inspired by Ram Dass’ legendary book Be Here Now, the name GIFT is a play on words invoking the word “present,” as in “the present,” as in “it’s a gift to live and breathe in the present.”

While the Brooklyn-based band’s sound can be described as “psychedelic rock,” the genre moniker fails to fully illustrate the breadth of GIFT’s resonance, which touches as much on the hypnotic rhythms of avant pop band Stereolab as it does the spaced-out rock’n’roll of Spacemen 3.

Please note:

Due to the nature of making a hand-poured vinyl record, each record is one of a kind. The vinyl you receive may look very different from our photos. hand-poured vinyl is more prone to surface noise and imperfections.
