Rachel Haden debut solo LP "July 6"

July 6, 2016 sees the release of Rachel Haden’s first solo album “July 6”. The album was produced and recorded in Woodstock, NY by Warren Defever (His Name Is Alive) with additional sessions in Los Angeles engineered by Ryen Slegr (Ozma, Weezer).

Rachel Haden has spent the last 20 years delighting audiences with her heartfelt performances. Known for her vocal harmonies and bass playing, 2016 finds Rachel embracing both as she branches out into solo career.
Rachel was born into a family with a rich musical tradition. Her grandparents formed The Haden Family group, which could be heard on radio in the 1940s and ’50s. Her father, Charlie Haden would leave the family group to become a legendary and highly influential Jazz bassist,. Rachel is, with her sisters Petra & Tanya, a member of The Haden Triplets, whose self titled album was produced by Ry Cooder and released in 2014 by Jack White’s Third Man Records.

Rachel is a founding member of That Dog, who released 3 records on DGC in the 1990s and reunited in 2011. They are currently finishing up their 4th studio album and first since 1997.

Rachel co-founded The Rentals with Matt Sharp in 1995. They reunited in 2007 for a new EP and tour.

She has toured the world with Jimmy Eat World, Todd Rundgren and Brendan Perry. Rachel has also contributed to records by Grammy award winners Weezer and Beck, among countless others.

In 2015 Rachel released her solo EP, “The Luci Parade” and joined with Greenway Records to release a limited edition 7in, “Devil’s In Me”.

2016 sees the release of Rachel’s debut full length solo album “July 6”, produced by Warren Defever (His Name Is Alive). Recorded in Woodstock. The album is being released on limited edition vinyl by Greenway Records in two editions of 250 copies. Translucent blue and splatter color ways will be available. The album has been described as “beautiful” and “the perfect lazy Sunday morning album”.
